Align Themes
FAQ’s

Have questions? Let’s clear the air.

Everything about licensing, payments, installation, updates and support for Align themes.

Which licence should I pick — Regular or Extended?

Go with Regular if you're launching one site, whether it's yours or a single client's. Choose Extended when you'll use the theme across many sites, including commercial work. Both are yours to keep; neither lets you resell or share the theme files.

Can I see a theme in action before I pay?

Yes — every theme has a full, clickable live demo. We don't hand out trial downloads, so spending a few minutes in the demo is the best way to know if it's the right fit.

How does payment work?

Checkout is handled by Paddle, our payment partner. They take the usual credit and debit cards and deal with any tax for your country. Your card details go straight to Paddle and never pass through us.

Is installing a theme difficult?

Not at all. You upload the theme ZIP in Ghost Admin under Settings → Design and hit Activate — no terminal, no build tools. Every theme also ships with a short, plain-language guide.

Do I keep getting updates?

You do. Every purchase includes free updates for the life of the theme, and we email you a short changelog whenever a new version lands.

Does it work on Ghost Pro?

Yes, provided your Ghost Pro plan allows custom theme uploads. A few of the smallest plans don't, so it's worth checking yours before you buy.

Can I tweak the design myself?

Absolutely. You get the full source — Handlebars templates, styles, scripts and images — and you're free to adjust it however you like to match your brand.

I can't find my download link — can you help?

Of course. Your purchase is linked to your email, so head to the Download page and pop in your order details for a fresh link any time.

Can I set the theme up on a staging or local site first?

Please do. Trying a theme on a local, staging or preview site before launch is always fine and never counts as an extra site under your licence.

Where do my files appear after checkout?

Your download link arrives in your confirmation email the moment payment clears, and you can fetch your files again any time from the Download page using your order email.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Setting up and running a theme is completely no-code. If you later want to go deeper, a little CSS or Handlebars opens things up — but it's never required.

Which version of Ghost do your themes support?

Every theme targets the current Ghost release and its modern features — cards, newsletters and memberships — and we keep them in step as Ghost moves forward.

Which browsers do you test on?

We test on the latest Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, on both desktop and mobile, so your site looks right wherever readers open it.

Will the theme work with Ghost apps and integrations?

Our themes follow Ghost's standard markup, so the common integrations drop in as expected. We can't promise every third-party app, but the usual ones behave.

Is demo content included?

No — a theme is the template files, not sample posts. You bring your own writing, pages and images, and the theme gives them a home.

Are the themes built for SEO?

Yes. Each one uses clean, semantic markup, loads quickly and includes structured data and responsive layouts — the groundwork search engines reward.

Do they look good on phones and tablets?

They do. Every theme is responsive and checked across phones, tablets and desktops so reading feels natural on any screen.

Is there a limit on visitors or members?

None at all. The themes set no caps on traffic or member numbers — how fast your site runs comes down to your hosting, not the theme.

What does your support cover?

We help with theme features, genuine bugs and questions about using what the theme offers. It doesn't extend to hosting setup, custom development or general Ghost questions.

What if my problem is with Ghost itself, not the theme?

For Ghost itself — hosting, the editor, core features — Ghost's own support and community are the right place. We focus on anything theme-specific.

How do I reach you, or report a bug?

Use the contact page with your order details and a quick note about what's happening. We reply to every message within one working day.

Can I suggest a feature?

Yes please — send ideas through the contact page. A lot of what we build next comes straight from what buyers ask for.
