These terms set out the deal when you use this site and buy an Align theme. By doing either, you’re agreeing to them. We’ll update the page now and then, and whatever’s shown here is the version that applies. Everything we sell is covered by copyright and belongs to us unless these terms say otherwise.
The licence you’re buying
Each purchase comes with one of two licences, chosen at checkout.
A Regular licence is for a single site — yours or one client’s. With it you can run the theme on one live domain and set it up on a staging or development copy of that same site. You can’t resell it, give it away, move the licence to someone else, or post the files anywhere public.
An Extended licence is for many sites, personal or commercial. You can use and adapt the theme across as many projects, clients and brands as you own. The only lines you can’t cross are reselling or redistributing it, tucking it inside another product you sell, or passing the design or code off as your own.
Need more than one site? That’s the Extended licence.
What stays with us
Buying a licence buys you the right to use a theme — not to own it. The designs, code and assets remain ours, whether you’ve changed them or not, and you can’t claim them as your own work.
Our name and artwork
Our logo, studio name, demo images and screenshots are ours to use. You’re welcome to mention in plain words that your site runs an Align theme; just don’t use our branding or imply we’re partners or that we endorse your site.
Keeping your theme fresh
Updates are free for the life of the theme — fixes, small improvements and the work that keeps it running on newer versions of Ghost. Each release comes with a short note on what changed.
The help that’s included
Every purchase includes our docs and direct support. We’ll help you install and set up the theme, use the features it ships with, and squash genuine bugs in the original files. We don’t take on custom development, install updates for you, or troubleshoot your hosting or Ghost setup — for bespoke work, a freelance developer is your best bet.
Paying for a theme
Checkout is run by Paddle, who act as the Merchant of Record. They handle the payment, the tax and the invoice under their own terms; your card details go to them and never touch us.
Refunds
Themes are digital goods delivered online. Our Refund Policy sits alongside these terms and explains how refunds work.
The limits of our guarantees
We build to current web standards and test against the latest stable browsers. Where a browser or platform simply won’t allow something, we’ll find a sensible alternative where we can. Beyond that, themes are provided “as is”, and our liability for any loss is capped at what you paid for the theme in question.
Changes here
We may update these terms at any time. The current version always lives on this page, and carrying on using the site or our themes after a change means you’re happy with it.
